The Bankrupt is a commercial company with dominance of industrial chemical production located in the town of Nováky in Slovakia. The main subject of activity of The Bankrupt is the production and sales of products based on manufacturing and processing of chlorine, production of calcium carbide, carbide mixtures and technical gasses, also production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), window profi les and growing part of the production is becoming basic and special low-tonnage chemicals. The Bankrupt sells its production mainly on EU markets and Eastern Europe countries. In the concluded accounting year of 2010 The Bankrupt showed revenue from sales in amount of 153 mil. € and currently employs 1500 people. The plant site of The Bankrupt has been operated by The Trustee continuously since a liquidation decision on the Bankrupt assets entered into force on 8th October 2009.
